About

Welcome to the BAD Gamers

The Brackley & District Gamers Club, AKA, The BAD Gamers, meets on Tuesdays from about 7pm to 10.30pm at Egerton Hall, in Brackley, Northamptonshire, UK

We’re an informal tabletop games club, with a wide range of gaming interests covering all aspects of the tabletop games hobby –

Ages range from 16 to 60+ and on most Tuesdays, we have eight to twelve people at the club. With 1 – 2 miniatures war games and 1 – 2 boardgames tables being used. Plus a couple of role-playing campaigns with sessions running at least once a month, although these moved online in the pandemic, and are mostly now played via Roll20

Members come from Brackley and the surrounding area – Banbury, Buckingham, Bicester, and Towcester. We also have some journeying in from as far as Northampton and Kettering.

Current miniature wargames being played include Hail Cesear, Black Powder, Lassalle, Chain of Command, Lion Rampant, Pulp Alley, Star Wars Armada, Frostgrave, Fistful of Lead, and 7TV. While we have had players of Games Workshop’s WH40K and Age of Sigmar in the past, there aren’t any club players at the moment. That’s not to say we wouldn’t welcome anyone who wants to play them.

Boardgames hitting the table are always a range of older classics like El Grande, to newer games such as Gloomhaven Jaws of the Lion. We play pretty much anything – Euro or Ameritrash, party to simulation, you name it, and we’ll play it (OK, maybe not Monopoly).

As well as the regular Tuesday nights, four or five times a year we have an All Day Sunday gaming session, where we meet from 10am to 4.30pm to play those longer boardgames, bigger miniatures wargames, day-long role-playing game sessions, or just to play more games.

If you’d like to find out more, please visit our Facebook page, our Blog page, or come along on a Tuesday night – we’re very welcoming, and informal, and can always accommodate new players
